The State Child Rights Commission has directed to take action following a report in the Prajavani daily regarding the non-preparation of midday meals for children at the Belamakki Anganwadi Centre in Sagar taluk of Shivamogga district

On May 28, the 'Prajavani' newspaper published a factual report under the title 'Fasting for Children from Week' about the inconvenience of preparing midday meals for children here.Based on the cited report, State Child Rights Protection Commission member KT Thippeswamy had instructed the Deputy Director of the District Women and Child Welfare Department to take immediate action to resolve the problem of cooking.


In this context, a team of officials visited today. Kudarur Gram Panchayat PDO Vishwanath Pattana Shetty told 'Prajavani' that steps will be taken to install a new electric motor in the well by the evening of May 29 (today) and provide permanent drinking water facilities.
